California Cleaning Firm Embraces Green

ASME, Inc. Building Maintenance is no stranger to green. The company has offered phosphorous-free household cleans and non-toxic floor treatments since their inception over 10 years ago.  The company has been a long-time provider of recycled paper products for client restrooms and breakrooms, as well.

As a company that has shown its commitment to green, it’s no surprise that ASME recently made the decision to join the Green Business Bureau, the nation’s leading third-party green business certification program.

“We joined the Green Business Bureau because we wanted to learn more about doing business in a way that was most beneficial tour clients and least harmful to the environment,” says ASME Manager Monica Blakely.  “We also wanted credit for the work we’d already done towards going green.”

Blakely says that ASME chose the Green Business Bureau over other programs because they appreciated the organization’s “most complete and rounded view” of the company’s efforts to maintain balance between the marketplace and the environment.

As members of the Green Business Bureau, ASME looks forward to continued growth in the green cleaning industry and are always on the lookout for new products and cleaning strategies that will benefit their clientele.

“We also look forward to more e-mails and notes from our home cleaning clients saying that their child’s allergies went away when our service began…or how pleased they are their pets are no longer threatened by chemicals,” says Blakely.  “Notes like that make going green worthwhile!”
