Traveling with your family is always a fun experience, but traveling on a green airline makes the trip much safer for both you and the environment. With so many people going green nowadays, it’s important to know that you and your family aren’t leaving a huge carbon footprint every time you take a vacation.
JetBlue recently became the latest green airline when it created its Jetting to Green program. The program aims to reduce the airline’s carbon footprint, to promote environmental activities in surrounding communities and educate crewmembers about going green.
Some ways that JetBlue is reducing its green airline carbon footprint are:
Plus, the airline’s hometown airport, JFK International Airport, recycles about 1500 gallons of fuel each month, reuses cooking oil when possible, has eliminated paper tickets and documents, and will open an eco-friendly terminal later this year.
Now that you know about JetBlue, how about thinking of some green vacations that you and your family can go on before it’s back to school time!
