We are the Green Business Bureau, and we have designed a program that gives businesses the tools they need to implement environmentally responsible practices in the workplace. Members become certified and recognized for their positive environmental impact.

Because running your business comes first.

We may possess the idealism of an environmentalist, but we have the business savvy of a corporate executive. That's why the GBB program was designed to help both the environment and your business thrive. Making a difference for the environment can actually mean making a difference for your bottom line. It's not just eco-friendly, it's eco-efficient.

At the core of the GBB program is our innovative system of green initiatives—essentially, specific goals your business can undertake on its path to green. In case you're groaning that you don't need another bunch of planet-saving tips and tricks, don't worry—we think mindless "greenwashing" is a cultural epidemic, too.

So what makes our system of initiatives so different from anything else? Every set of initiatives you'll receive has been specifically designed to yield the maximum benefit for the environment while minimizing the level of effort and investment.

Essentially, we've calculated the equation for delivering your business the most "environmental bang for your buck."

Here's how it works step-by-step:

Enroll in the Green Business Bureau program. You can sign up here.
Receive the GBB Welcome Package. It includes:
- a display decal for your business location
- an online seal for your website, which will link to your GBB personal landing page so customers can learn more about your green commitment
- a brief welcome video that you can share with your staff to introduce them to the GBB
- an Environmental Compliance Poster for your office
- a subscription to the GBB newsletter, along with a mention of your company's new membership status
Take a brief assessment survey and get credit for green activities your business has already completed.
Complete five simple prerequisite initiatives to reach the Green Aware tier of certification!
As you complete each initiative on your personal page, update your profile to receive credit for your accomplishment. When you complete initiatives, the system will automatically suggest new initiatives that make sense for your business.
Earn points to advance to the next GBB tier and enjoy even more membership perks while helping the environment and your bottom line.
