Weaving Hopes – Tejiendo Esperanzas

Delicate hands of Peruvian weavers present you with carpets made of natural wool, cotton and tints obtain from plants and mineral.
We seeks to live in a concrete way the solidarity service towards all the needy and disavantadge, evangelizing the craftsmen through their work and at the same time promoting their products. Fine woven tapestries made of naturally-dyed alpaca and sheep wool are characteristic of the handcrafts from the central highlands of Peru (South America). The dyes are prepared from animal, vegetable and mineral substances such as cochineal, annatto and copper, all of which are native to the Andes. The tapestries are woven by families, on wooden looms built by the weavers themselves, using techniques passed on from generation to generation since the days of our ancestors.
