  • In the New Century Economic Development Plan for the City of Atlanta, growing dedicated parks and greenspace ranks in the City’s top ten initiatives to achieve by 2009.
  • In 2003, the City of Atlanta passed an ordinance requiring all new and major renovated city financed construction projects (over 5,000 square feet or over $2 million in cost) will at a minimum incorporate sustainable design criterion and the design and project management teams are required to meet LEED™ Silver-certified level.
